Latest Blog Addiction

I found this hilarious blog - called FAIL Blog. Each post is just a picture or video of something that's not quite right. One of my favorite current ones is this:

Back from vacation!

I'll post more later this week with pics, but for now I'm trying to get a week's worth of stuff caught up! I thought I'd share a pic of Malley the day she got home (we got home Saturday but couldn't pick up the girls until Sunday). Malley always sticks her nose through the chain link fence at the kennel - she has to sniff and see everyone who walks by. So she always has a raw nose by the time she's done. We've been afraid since she was a puppy that the skin wouldn't heal and she'd have a white or red spot lol!
More later,

Missing my babies

We dropped the puppies off at the "doggie hotel" tonight. I always get so sad to leave them (at least I don't cry anymore when I drop them off lol)! But boy, you should have seen how excited they got when we made the turn down the road of the kennel. They love it there!

As usual, they spazzed when we brought them in. We were feeling really sorry for the poor girl who worked there, who had to take both of them and their food out to their "room". But we watched them walk out there, and I'm not really sure if it was our doggies or not because they were BEHAVING! OUR DOGS were walking quietly next to her, not pulling, just being like the dogs we point out to them saying "See, THOSE dogs are good - you should act like them". We're so proud :)

We sure do miss our girls though, not the same at home without them.

4th of July Weekend

What did everyone do on the 4th? We slept in, then went to Rob's brother's house for a cookout. Somehow his 11-yr-old nephew and 13-yr-old niece are taller than me. I remember when they were born!

I went home before dark because the fireworks terrify the puppies. I blasted music and they were with me all evening, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been for them.

The rest of the weekend we slept in, did stuff around the house, and took advantage of some free meal coupons Rob had gotten. Saturday was lunch at Golden Corral, with Rob being free. Sunday was dinner at Sonny's. Rob was free (sandwich w/ side), but we negated that by him getting corn nuggets and me bringing home a quart of oh-so-yummy mac & cheese! :)

Latest on My Recovery

I've been doing a lot better with my recovery. My voice has been in and out, but I've been talking a lot more too. I have more energy - even did some stuff around the house. Still need to rest a lot though. Sleeping has become a lot easier. Still haven't made it a full night, but at least I'm resting. Incision is still a bit uncomfortable at times and itchy. But I'm thankful that I'm recovering!

Scene of the Crime Layout Share

I made this layout for a make-and-take at an expo a year or two ago. I knew then what I planned to do with it, and finally put the page together. The envie includes all my receipts from the South Florida Holiday Shop Hop, the flyer for the Shop Hop is on the front of the envie, and the pic is of me in front of one of the stores. I have a couple more pages to do showing my make-and-takes from the Shop Hop, but at least the evidence is well-documented!

Stamp Club Projects

Here are the two cards we made at the Violette's stamp club this month, using Amuse stamps. I bought the grass stamp, but passed on the others. Nevermind that I bought paper and another cool stamp!

Good and Bad

Last night I wasn't doing well, my incision ached and I was really uncomfortable. Putting a warm washcloth on my neck helped for a bit, but still couldn't sleep. I dream of the night I can sleep the whole night through, it's been awhile!

Despite feeling icky, I had a great breakthrough today - I was talking on the way back from lunch (big surprise, huh, lol?), and all of a sudden my voice started to sound NORMAL! Woohoo! I'm back anf forth, still scratchy, but at least my voice is in there somewhere! Yay! I told Rob and his response was "Darn" lol.

Speaking of Rob - I'm kinda worried about the guy. I came home from work and the front bedroom where his computer and beer-making supplies are was CLEAN. Like nothing on the floor. The desk had a surface where one could spread out and write. I was pleasantly surprised, since it's been a disaster for awhile!
